Republican Rep. Randy Weber of Texas has announced plans to introduce a censure resolution against Crockett, accusing her of crossing ethical lines during a Human Rights Campaign event. Weber labeled Crockett’s remarks “despicable and discriminatory,” arguing that such rhetoric degrades the dignity of Congress.

“Governor Abbott’s life story reflects determination and resilience,” Weber told Fox News Digital. “But Jasmine Crockett’s Hot Wheels remark was vile, offensive, and a blatant political attack unworthy of her office.”

Weber insisted the House must send a clear message by formally censuring Crockett for her words, which he claimed insult both Abbott and the values Texans hold dear.

Crockett quickly pushed back against the backlash, denying that her Hot Wheels comment targeted Governor Abbott’s disability. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), she explained that her words referred to Abbott’s controversial migrant busing programs — not his physical condition.

“I wasn’t even thinking about his disability,” Crockett wrote. “I was calling out the planes, trains, and automobiles Abbott used to ship migrants into Black-led cities — a deliberate attempt to stir fear. Right after that, I even called him a ‘Hot A** Mess’ because of his harmful policies.”

Despite her defense, Weber doubled down, accusing Crockett of delivering yet another inappropriate remark in what he described as a “pattern of divisive rhetoric.”

Texas Republicans Demand Accountability for Crockett’s Words

The draft of Weber’s resolution, shared exclusively with Fox News Digital, describes Crockett’s words as “discriminatory in nature” and damaging to the integrity of the House. He also slammed her behavior as a clear betrayal of Texas values.

“It’s obvious she was never taught what Texas class truly means,” Weber stated. “Her actions are disgraceful, and it’s time Congress holds her accountable.”

Crockett’s office has not officially responded to requests for further comment. However, the Jasmine Crockett Hot Wheels remark continues to dominate political headlines, setting the stage for what could be a heated censure battle in the House.
