How to Play the Burrito Vault Game and Unlock Free Burritos

To join in on the fun, Chipotle Rewards members from the U.S. and Canada can visit UnlockBurritoDay.com to participate in the Burrito Vault game. Players will need to guess the exact combination of ingredients in a burrito order to unlock the vault. The first 2,500 Chipotle Rewards members who successfully decode the correct combination every hour will win BOGO entrée codes. If you’re not one of the first players to guess the code, don’t worry—after all BOGO codes have been claimed, players will still earn 25 rewards points in the Chipotle app.

Burrito Vault saw unprecedented engagement from fans. “Now, we’re giving them another opportunity to crack the code and score more free burritos,” Brandt said. In 2024, the Burrito Vault was played more than 2 million times, with prizes being claimed in under 20 minutes. This year, Chipotle will change the winning code every hour to ensure the prize drops are spread throughout the game duration.
Setting the Record Straight: Chipotle Is Not Closing
Recently, rumors began circulating on social media claiming that Chipotle would file for bankruptcy and close its restaurants in 2025. These claims, which spread rapidly, stemmed from a report by Spanish media outlet Unión Rayo that incorrectly stated the closure of Farmesa Fresh Eatery, a Chipotle-backed venture. Chipotle has since reached out to the media outlet to correct the misinformation, and the company has received an apology for the false report.
